"Daniel," he said. He did not stand, but waved a friendly hand in Jack's direction, still balancing on the back legs of the rickety lawn chair. It creaked as he turned slightly, black eyes watching the new arrival. He did indeed resemble a Labrador, in temperament as well as appearance, to a certain degree. Daniel couldn't help but smile.
"I hear you're the man to see about breakfast. I hope you don't mind, I brought a plus one." He tossed the blond man a playful little wink. "I'll serve as sous chef if that makes up for the unexpected addition. Just let me know what I can do."
