Owen had no idea if They would intervene if there was truly a life threatening injury, but he didn't want to bring it up, or speculate. A part of him said, yes, of course They would help. Then again, he didn't know that for sure. It didn't seem like they had a limited supply of test subjects.
"I had a feeling it was going to turn bad soon," Owen admitted. "That's why I didn't want to leave Simms in town for too long. I know he's a piece of shit, but no one needed to be risking their necks in this kind of weather to get into town to take care of him, and especially with a day like this, they probably wouldn't have been able to attempt it anyway. I think we've got enough candles and wood right now to make it okay if they decide to knock the power out. Hopefully people took advantage of Cassi's and got some warmer clothes."
