He almost laughed at that too, although his throat was thick. "Yeah, that's probably supposed to be one of the questions I have an answer to, right? I guess I do," he admitted after thinking about it for a second. Resilience during adversity, the same things he always recommended to other people: mindfulness, perspective, staying grounded, creating clear goals, finding meaning, regulating strong emotions, distress tolerance, support networks, on and on. "It's just hard, it's hard work. It kind of is a given that more people are going to disappear, and we need to put some kind of protocol in place just for the sake of human decency, because I know some people disappear and no one even mentions it until days later.
