"I don't know what happened to her," Marco explained, shifting uncomfortably. His gaze wandered the room, finding anything but Juno's eyes to land on, which she had to be used to by now, he imagined. "It was, um, when we were all locked in the house. I was still detoxing, and I was doing alright enough to be up and moving, but the whole being locked in thing was freaking me out, and when the power went out, he and I were in the kitchen together, and I freaked out and I guess I said something that he didn't like, because it turned into a fight. I brought up when he said that I was a waste of life, and then he said I was, because I get to be alive and do drugs while his daughter is dead, or something like that. And that was pretty much all he told me."
He tried to crack something like a smile at the idea of Owen yelling at him being a hobby, but it didn't quite come through. "He mostly avoided me after that, kind of like Cecilia, but I actually ran into him a few days ago, when I was just getting brave enough to leave Oliver's room. Um, I was still really out if it, but he was really patient with me. He's not all bad."
