"I don't think I'm back enough to have the tact to lie to make you feel better," Marco told Juno, and whether that was true or not he wasn't sure, but he at least knew that he'd told Juno the truth. He wasn't sick of her. He was still glad that she was talking to him again. He narrowed his eyes as he thought about what he'd said, then added, "I don't know if I have tact even when I am better. Do I? Whatever, I don't care."
Again he sat still as Juno shifted, worrying that if he moved, he would ruin their arrangement. When she stopped moving, he finally worked up the nerve to move, and he lowered his arm from around Juno's back so he could hold his arm around her waist. "I think, um, anyone that you want to talk to, you should. Jim's a smart guy, so if you think he helps, he should be the one. Or Cecilia, but if you talk to her, don't talk to her about me. Erran and Oliver have been good for me, but they both fought addiction so that helps me a lot, but might not be what you need. So... I don't know, do I sound smart right now? Because that would be cool." He smiled, wrinkling his nose at her with a silent laugh.
He took her moment of silence as a moment to allow himself to be distracted, glancing around the room, as per usual, to find the source of sounds that he knew didn't have external sources. When she spoke up again, he just sighed happily and let his head fall against hers.
