Cecilia felt warm and giddy, all anxieties quieted for the moment. Owen commanded her full attention, and she was perfectly fine with that. She ran her fingers through his hair, thinking the novelty of touching would probably never wear off. She was used to finding little excuses to touch him in minor ways, and the idea that she could just do what she wanted when she wanted was a little intoxicating. She was content to do this all night. Just be near him, in constant contact, and yes with plenty of kissing. That was all she needed for the time being.
Following his gaze, Cecilia smiled sheepishly and turned to look for Neptune. He was still sitting dutifully on the floor, but his eyes kept drifting back to Cecilia's empty place setting. If he wanted to he could have easily hopped up and helped himself, but he was too well trained to do that. "I don't think he'd say no," she answered, grinning and looking back at Owen. "I feel bad you didn't get to finish. It was nice while it lasted. I kind of like this better, though. Sorry." She did not look sorry. At all.
