Who: August & [ OPEN ] When: 8:53 a.m. Where: August's room
August's eyes opened slowly to the room around him; a fuzziness around the edges of his vision made the realization that he was in a new place a slow revelation. The room didn't look like his apartment, nor any of the bedrooms or guest rooms at his parents'. It didn't look like anything he was immediately able to name.
Slowly, he rose up onto his elbows, and felt the light weight of the paper medical gown crinkle around him. Then he noticed the IV in his elbow, and started to hyperventilate.
What the...? Brows knitting, August came to a full sit-up position, one hand aimlessly hovering around where the IV's needle was embedded in his skin. Where were his clothes? Where was he??? His fingers wriggled, hand half-descending to pinch at the IV, only to pull away at the last moment. Finally, he dropped both hands to his sides, looking around for a call button. Maybe there was a nurse on staff? Maybe this was a hospital? Had he been in an accident?
"Hello?" He called out as loudly as he could, but there was no immediate response. Looking back at the IV, he followed it's line to the wall; he didn't see a slick, silver pole that he could pull around with him like in all the medical dramas he'd seen on television. He'd always been told they weren't accurate, and now he was wondering if this scenario OR the TV shows had gotten it wrong. His eyes went back to the needle, and he steeled himself for a moment. Pulling, he gritted his teeth, but the pain woke waves of nausea in him, and when the tiniest bead of blood appeared, he felt his eyes rolling back into his head.
"Oh my god -- Hello?!" He called out louder. There had to be someone around here! His eyes went up and saw the camera dead center in the ceiling, and August waved his arms. "Please! Please let me out of here!! Whatever you think it is I know, I swear, I won't tell anyone!! I'll delete my accounts! Hello?!"
