He stopped a the question, blinking at her in confusion, his face morphing into a frown as he saw the painted door back where it had originally started. "Yeeeeah..." He put a hand on her shoulder to steady her as he carefully slipped around her, taking a few cautious steps toward the door. He stopped in the middle of the floor, glancing around to see if anything else was unusual.
For a moment he wished he'd brought something with him. The hammer, the ax, something. Instead, he went for the doorknob, his eyes scanning over the night sky they'd painted together, momentarily glad it seemed to be undamaged. He opened the door slowly, and only by a few inches before quickly reaching his hand in to flick on the light switch. He retracted it immediately, pausing and listening for a second before slowly opening the door entirely.
The sight that greeted him caused him to laugh in strange confusion. "The...uh...." He cleared his throat, his cheeks tinting as he looked to her, gesturing with his hand toward the closet. "The dress is here." He figured he didn't need to tell her which one.
