He took a deep breath and did his best to stay calm as they made it out into the hall, closer to the stairs. As long as he stayed by Oliver, he decided, he might be okay, and he leaned forward to look around Oliver to see around him to what was on the side the big guy was blocking. "I'm doing this for Juno," he said softly. He wasn't sure Oliver needed an explanation, but he still wanted to offer one. "She wants me to stay with her in her room, so she'll be more comfortable in there. I think that her confidence in me is dumb."
