"Nothing stays locked," Chase sighed, but offered a small smile after. "We're not really gonna need the mower for much longer. I mean, by the time it's all ready to go, if no one messes with it, we'll probably have snow. It's a good project, though."
He folded his arms over his chest for all of two seconds before remembering the grime on his hands, then pulled his arms out to see that he'd streaked his already dirty shirt across the chest, and his upper arms. He laughed as he wiped his hands again, this time doing a more thorough job with the bottom of his shirt. "Would you...uh...would you want to learn any of this stuff? I mean, maybe not right now, but it's fun putting stuff together, and knowing some stuff can be really useful. And the way things work is really cool when you think about it sometimes. I mean, it is to me."
