Who: Kiley and Chase When: Early afternoon Where: The shed out back
After finishing out her second round of pool with Felix, and once again claiming victory, Kiley decided to slip on her shoes, grab a cigarette, and wander out back to the brand new shed to see what Chase was up to. She wasn't feeling as restless and boxed in as she had been over the past few days, and she supposed that had to do with her foot feeling better, and some mindless, silly conversation with a semi-stranger. Plus, it was always fun to have someone around with little to no shame, and who wouldn't shy away from a dare. Of course, Felix hadn't had to follow through on it just yet, but Kiley felt pretty confident that he would once the time was right.
Kiley spotted Chase moving around in the open shed and she drew her hands into the sleeves of her flannel shirt to keep them warm. It wasn't cold out yet, but there was an autumn nip in the air. It was November, after all. Thinking about the weather sent a small jolt through Kiley. Damn. She had been taken in September. Almost two months ago. It felt like years, and at the same time, it didn't. It would be Thanksgiving soon, and then snow, and then Christmas... not that Kiley ever really celebrated the holidays at all, but still. A Very Merry Zenith Christmas. Talk about horrifying.
"Find anything cool?" she asked, looking around the shed. Tools and stuff never really interested her much, but she supposed it was beneficial that TPTB had provided it.
