Who: Audrey and Juno When: 9:30 am Where: The gym What: Asskicking 101
Audrey wasn't sure why she'd offered to teach Juno how to fight - as far as she'd seen, the girl didn't have any particular sort of influence in the house beyond being decently well-liked, so it wasn't really as if Audrey had anything to gain by befriending her except maybe a slightly more solid place in the house, or someone who'd vouch for her if she took the time to nurture that friendship. She didn't have an especially moral affront to what Simms had done; she was irritated that his... loud style of working had thrown all of the newcomers under suspicion, and maybe she'd had a slight flashback to the incident where she'd been a girl faced with having to fight off a larger man - the incident that had brought her to the attention of the man who would become her benefactor - but in the grand scheme of things that wasn't really why she was bothered to offer her help.
Or maybe it was a combination of those things. She wasn't really going to analyze it too deeply. She tried never to burn bridges until she had to.
Which was why she was back in the gym shortly before 9:30 in the morning; she'd already been down early for her own workout - training Juno wasn't going to be especially strenuous for her. She'd detoured to the kitchen for a couple bottles of water, and while she waited she was entertaining herself by doing press-up handstands into back handsprings.
