"And I'd help you," Lennon said. Even if he got his ass kicked sideways, he would have done his best to cause some discomfort for whoever would do that. That sucked. Strange how having new people in the house coincided with trouble. Not that he'd accuse anyone, but it was weird for sure.
"Just being a good friend's enough," he said when Juno told him she couldn't remember being awesome to him. "Around here, you gotta have people who have your back, and you're one of those." He had to snicker at her analogy. "Not very dragony," he said. "That's... Oliver maybe? He's big enough to be a dragon."
He'd said he loved Juno and he'd meant it. Still did. "You don't get to tell me who I can love," he said, aiming for a teasing tone. "Geez, I sound like I'm at a pride parade."
