"No, because it's coming from somewhere, and if I leave it'll still be here when I get back!" With Chase off the bed, Kiley yanked the blankets off, not entirely sure what she was looking for. There just had to be something. She dropped the blankets and then looked inside her bedside lampshade. Nothing.
Kiley lifted her face to the twinkly lights hanging above them. Maybe there was some kind of device up there releasing the cologne into the room. It didn't explain why she smelled it in Chase's room, but Kiley wasn't exactly thinking rationally.
"You smell it, right?" Kiley stepped up onto the mattress and reached up for the lights to pull them down, out of the ceiling. She couldn't quite reach, so she placed her palm against the wall and pushed up on her toes to try and swipe at them with her free hand. Her fingers were shaking. "You smell that? They're using something to spray that stuff in here!"
