"Is it better here?" Kiley asked, walking over to the computer to flip it on so she could check the network and see if any messages were waiting for her. "It would probably be crazy to admit that being kidnapped and held captive by some twisted fucks with twenty some other people was better than life back home, no matter how shitty people were to me," she said, her gaze locked on the computer screen as she signed in. "But yeah, I think it is, sometimes. Better. Mostly because of you. And you know, living rent free." She flashed him a brief smile before refocusing on the network. No messages were waiting for her. Just the generic message from Them that Chase already read.
"Nothing," she told him, straightening away from the computer. Kiley headed for the dresser to find a fresh shirt to pull on. "I miss Chicago, though. The city. Having freedom. What about you? Do you think its better here sometimes than home?"
