Kiley snorted softly with laughter. She could just imagine randomly walking up to him to sniff his neck or something. "You smell fine," she assured him, amused. She understood what he meant about the cafeteria smell. Every school had one. It was like hospitals... they just had a particular smell to them. Not a very pleasant one, either.
"Why Land of Confusion?" she asked, wondering if that was just something he listened to a lot while in the school cafeteria. "I get what you mean. Though nothing happened in your room to trigger that smell, so I don't know." She hadn't even been thinking of her dad at the time.
"Anything memory I have of my dad is a bad one," Kiley explained, shrugging. "He wore that cologne. I always got a nose full of it when he was hitting me." She shrugged again and let go of Chase's hand once they were at her door so she could push it open and step inside. "Let me check my computer."
