As expected, Juno was not feeling her best this morning. Finding the nice little surprise They had left her had made her heart sink to her feet, even though, as she had told Marco, this was nothing unexpected or even surprising in the least. Reading those words in her father's scribbled mess of a penmanship somehow felt like yet another kick to the gut, however, and then there was that voice in the back of her head calling her pathetic for still caring, still letting it get to her. Worst of all was that the one time she felt maybe she could ask for something for herself - without throwing anyone else under the bus, even - she had been punished. That taught her. She hadn't cried, though, and Marco's offer of a walk had made her feel a little hopeful. It was drizzling outside, which Juno appreciated, and after replying to Marco she had quickly dressed herself for the walk and sat waiting.
Although Juno wasn't a stickler for timetables the fact that Marco had said he'd be down in a few but still wasn't knocking on her door ten minutes later made her feel restless. Maybe it was her mood, or the fact that somehow getting out of that house really sounded like the best thing to do after such a shitty awakening; eventually Juno decided to just go get him herself.
She was almost to the third floor when she heard the unmistakable scream that could only be Pam's and no one else's, and Juno took off running to the source of the noise. Juno reached Pam first, touching her arm lightly. "You okay, what happened?!"
Looking around, Juno quickly realized what could possibly have made Pam scream. Hell, she sort of wanted to scream herself. Juno's face distorted into one of disgust and shock, and then pity when she looked down at the opposite wall to find Marco sitting there, looking halfway to catatonia. Without taking her eyes off Marco, Juno tried to turn Pam away from the door. "Pam don't look, look away Pam, take a seat and look away." She ran to Marco, crouched down beside him, giving him enough space not to feel crowded. "Marco? Don't look either. I'm gonna get that out of there and clean it, okay?"
