Oliver a little too well what was going on, and even though the words sent a chill up his spine, and he could feel his own chest constrict slightly, Kate needed him. She needed him. That fact was enough to center him for the moment.
He kept his body language and face relaxed, his tone calm and comforting. His hand moved across the bed until his fingers lightly brushed the side of her leg, not wanting to add any actual weight to her body, knowing from experience that could end up feeling ten times heavier than it was during an attack. He just wanted the connection, a touch that could help anchor her in the present, to him.
"Sunshine, I need you to look at me, concentrate on breathing. Stay right here with me." He kept eye contact with her when she finally did focus on him, inhaling slowly and purposefully, and following it with as obvious an exhale, setting a pattern. "You're gonna breathe together, okay?"
