"If I had to guess, I'd say you're hoping to slip in unnoticed and blend in," Cecilia said, a lightly teasing hint to her tone. "Maybe someone brought their camera down. I feel like I might need photographic evidence that you not only went to a Halloween party, but you even dressed up and got into it." There was really no help for the grin on her face, though now that she thought about it, she wouldn't mind having photos from tonight. That was a bad line of thought though, so she ignored it.
The car seemed to be slowing as it came around another curve, and as the trees gave way to her vision Cecilia could see the arrival station. She couldn't see the party yet, the trees were still too dense ahead, but she swore she could smell the ocean. Neptune had perked up as well, and looked as though he was ready to jump out without waiting for the door. Cecilia straightened in her seat and raised her eyebrows at Owen. "Too late to back out now."
