Quick update: Simms will remain in his cell until the trial tomorrow.

so I got enough points to claim the store of my choice back in Zenith. Ultimately I'm going to go with what I want, but I'm open for suggestions or thoughts if you've got them.

We can tell your 'husband' you're off getting some books from me that you asked me to get from the library 'cause i went to the bar and white-guilted him into letting me have two bottles of the reasonable stuff, plus told him I was really bummed about the Simms thing and was going to drink alone with some books from the library. And when you come home late just tell him you felt bad leaving 'cause I was in a right state.

I talked to Cecilia for a bit. She brought up the idea of possibly putting Simms under as a last resort until the trial if we somehow can't get him back in the cell. I don't think it will come to that, but we might want to consider it an option. He wouldn't have any chance to hurt someone, and we wouldn't have to hurt him.

Just wanted to let you to know that the idea was brought up to put Simms under until the trial as a last resort if we for some reason can't get him into the cell. It's a good option to keep him from hurting anyone, and would lessen the chances of him getting hurt as well. Owen, Cecilia and myself are on board if it comes down to that. That's obviously the majority, but I wanted to let you know what was going on before it happened in case there were any major concerns or questions you had. I'll try to get back to reply as soon as I can.

the people in charge are giving Simms a trial tomorrow. If he's found guilty, they're removing him from C39. If he's found not guilty, we'll handle it.

you may see Simms out today with myself and Oliver. This is hopefully temporary and nothing to worry about.

So, I just got some bad news from Owen. Our overlords have ordered us to release Simms "on his own recognizance" and hold a trial for him tomorrow morning. (They're picking the jury, so that'll be fun.) If he's found guilty then he gets kicked out of the bunker along with Lila, and if not then he gets his badge back. I guess it's not decided yet whether we're actually going to do this or not, but given your history with your father I didn't think it was fair to just let you randomly find out on your own that there's a violent sex offender back on the streets.

I'm pissed off about it because we were told that They would respect Owen's and/or the council's decisions on this stuff, but whatever, the part that we can all control is to prepare emotionally and look out for each other.

To whoever thought it was a good idea to take Emil from his nursery last night:

I'm not gonna get mad or hold it against you if you'll just return him to my doorstep in the next half hour. If you do that, I know it's probably totally out of character for me but I'm not going to say anything about him being taken, I'll just pretend that I misplaced him and we can forget this whole thing happened. If you don't bring him back in the next half hour, though, I'm going to have to formally call the police, and then it's going to end up becoming a whole thing, so you're better off just giving him back. Just leave him on the porch, you don't have to knock or anything, I don't need to know who you are.

You must hold a trial for him tomorrow morning. We will select members of the jury to oversee this trial and pronounce judgment. If found innocent, he will be restored to his previous post. If guilty, he and his wife will be removed from C39.

Until the trial, you are ordered to release the prisoner on his own recognizance under strict warning to stay away from his accuser, and the witness against him."

Cecilia and Oliver vote no. If you guys want to keep him in his cell, we'll do it.

eta: Oliver came up with the idea of letting Simms out, but getting him back in his cell based on another transgression. I think this might be the best way to deal with this without pissing off TPTB by technically following their instructions, and also keeping people safe.

I've spoken to Cecilia and she's against it, but I feel like ignoring this will make it worse. I'm confident I can keep an eye on Simms today, until his 'trial' tomorrow. I'm going to make sure he doesn't go near anyone (especially Juno or Chase) and if he puts one toe out of line, I'm going to take care of it. I'm not going to risk someone else getting punished tomorrow for not following instructions today. If I'm watching Simms today, I need someone getting around the rest of the town and checking in on people, if you'd be willing.

I wanted to give you a head's up before letting the others know. I was ordered to release Simms today pending a 'trial' tomorrow. I'll be on him today and tonight so that he doesn't go near you or Kiley, or anyone else. If he's found guilty at his trial tomorrow, they're going to remove him (and Lila) from C39. I don't want to do this, but I know if I don't, They're going to do it for us (or worse). I know this is a shitty situation, and I'm sorry.

Thanks to Mrs. Flynn's generosity, starting today I will be available at C39's clinic on an as-needed basis, providing childcare to those families who require it. My availability is fairly open, but I do ask that you notify me at least one hour before your arrival.

(My obligations to my own family do still take precedence, as I'm sure you all understand.)

Cecilia doesn't need any help at the clinic, but she did mention that some families are having a difficult time finding childcare. If you're amenable, I'd like to offer to watch the children at the clinic while their parents are at work. I'd... rather not charge anything, at least for the folks who got fucked families of lesser means.

Good evening, Officer. I figure you'll be stopping in tonight, but before you do, I wanted to know what you thought about these new rewards. I don't think I want to be selfish and try to grab up one of those when there's important things that we need for a high cost, but I can't help but wonder what can be bought with a wild card. Assuming I get to that number first. People are playing this incredibly well. I'm pretty sure that this conversation breaks character even when I'm trying to stay in character, so I'm just gonna say screw it and add in that I keep thinking of the other night when we cuddled in that blanket fort and I miss you.
