Aidan wasn't really that clever, not as clever as Mr. Smith, and he would like to think that he wouldn't stop at anything to find him. Maybe he was just a side project. Maybe he just had Kian write a note in the journals saying if anyone saw him to let him know but really wasn't putting any effort into locating him at all. Maybe Mr. Solomon had taken over all of his duties. That wasn't good, he didn't think Mr. Solomon could cook!
