Thread: Gav & Hannon
Who: Gav Reyes and Hannon Raleigh. When: April 18. Evening. Where: Hannon's place. What: Hanging out in an almost-date-type-way.
Saturday had been the day on which Gav had been sure to see Hannon for months now. But in all the weeks past, it had been because of rehab. Because Gav had gone to group meetings and had to check in with the nurse. The nurse had always been Hannon, until two weeks ago when he had switched to another nurse. So now, although he was going to see Hannon, and it was Saturday, it was entirely different.
For one thing, he wasn't at the hospital. He had left the school and hopped on a bus to take him across town to Hannon's place. For another thing, there was a different vibe to this. Or maybe that was just Gav's imagination. But they were together now, and that made things different. Good different, but also butterflies-in-stomach different.
He got off the bus at the stop closest to Hannon's place, and walked the last block or so, hands tucked in the pockets of his canvas, worn coat, a black beanie hat pushing his blonde hair down to nearly his shoulders. He walked quick because he didn't see the point of dawdling, and in no time he was at Hannon's place, up on his doorstep.
He drew a gloved hand from his pocket, balled it up and knocked.
