Who ? Finn, Braylen, Finn's son Where ? Arcade in town When ? Friday afternoon What ? Information gathering.
Finn had sent Braylen an e-mail through his phone asking him to come into town to meet him. He'd been gone from base all week and for very good reason, a reason that was currently playing Mortal Combat with a glazed over look in his eye.
He'd gotten the call late on Sunday evening about his son and had dropped everything to make the six hour trip to his in laws despite the inconvenient time of day. His oldest, it seemed, had developed psychic ability and with his new found talent he had also lost his room in his grandmother's house.
Finn had always promised to take over his children's care once their abilities manifested and while he had begun to worry if such a thing would ever happen now that it had, he worried even more about what to do with them. He couldn't take his son, who was barely eleven and a half, back to Stargate with him. He couldn't take him back to Stargate at all.
He was considering Zener since it was close, a boarding school, and offered psychic training but was also of the opinion that if things seemed too good to be true they probably weren't and thus needed to consider all possibilities. Leaving his son in the hands of people that undoubtedly wanted to bring Stargate down was risky even for him and had thus made the plea for help.
Finn stood outside the arcade to intercept Braylen when he showed up. He was sure the blinking lights, games, and the twenty dollars worth of quarters he'd given his son was enough to keep him busy while he spoke to the former Zener infiltrator but at the same time didn't want Braylen to meet his son either. If he did take his son to Zener the last thing he wanted was to give the administration the idea that he some how might be linked to the Project.
Tugging his ball cap down over his eyes, he glanced down the street keeping an eye out for the grill of Braylen's car.
