Thread: Maddox & Roxy Who: Maddox Ripley and Roxy Smith. When: March 31. Lunchtime. Where: School; Out back. What: Smoking, snacking, talking.
Maddox was sitting on one of the low stone walls that ran on either side of the back doors of the school, his legs dangling, the heels of his sneakers brushing against the side of it, bumping lightly as he moved.
He was dressed for the chill of early Spring in a coat, but he didn't bother with gloves or anything like that. The cigarette that he clasped between two fingers was warmth enough for that, warmed his fingers, and warmed him from the inside out with every puff.
He had decided against the oft-annoying hustle and bustle of the cafeteria and instead brought his lunch outside with him. A sandwich he had grabbed, and some chocolate milk and a bag of chips. He had the sandwich (chicken salad) unwrapped, resting on the saran wrap, and was eating half of it, alternating between bites and puffs of the cigarette.
When the back doors open, he glanced up to see who it was, a grin forming when he saw all the red hair that belong to Roxy - and Roxy with it. "Hey Red. What's up?"
