Who ? Braylen King and Finn Farraday Where ? The Mall When ? Tuesday afternoon What ? Random encounters and trying not to commit homicide.
Finn didn't go to the mall too often because it had a tendency to ruin his day. It was filled with norms, and just the average, run of the mill type. He'd never held a job in a place like the shopping center before but from the employees he did run across he felt he could safely assume that companies went out of their way to hire the most annoying people they could find. The ones that worked in the kiosks were the worst because they had absolutely no problem accosting strangers to try their products. Once you made eye contact, it was all over for you. Even he had been suckered into buying something he didn't really want because a cute and flirtatious little blond had managed to work a smile out of him. Now he knew better and he avoided those little shops entirely. He approached the mall with a game plan, a list of things he needed that he didn't deviate from. Unlike some people, he was good with things like that.
He had most of the things he needed now after a trip to the sports store, a shoe place, and the pet store. He had to get a few more things, some clothes, but on the way he'd gotten distracted outside of Victoria's Secret. It was easy for that to happen and he certainly wasn't the only guy there, either. The mannequins at the store's front window had been replaced by real women, all dolled up and in skimpy lingerie posing still as statues. It made him wish he still had a wife to buy things like that for because he really wouldn't have minded a more personal fashion show.
