Thread: Gav & Hannon Who: Gav Reyes and Hannon Raleigh. When: February 28. Afternoon. Where: Town; Health Clinic. What: Another rehab visit. Gav is feeling a bit bad about yelling at Hannon last time.
Gav felt contrite. He had ever since he had left his meeting with the nurse last Saturday. It wasn't a big feeling, but something that had nagged at him a little bit over the course of the week. Enough to be noticed. Enough to bother him. He realized that he felt bad over getting so angry and basically blowing up at Hannon in his glowering, scowling way. Oh, he still thought he was right, that Hannon had no idea. But he felt bad about the way he had handled it.
And then it had hit him. He was starting to think of Hannon as a friend, or close to it. As much as he had been trying not to do just that over the past month and a half since Nurse Cameron had gone on maternity leave and Hannon had taken her place.
Damnit.
He had stewed his way through group therapy meeting. Giving his usual spiel. No, he hadn't touched heroin. No, he hadn't been drinking. Yes, he had been thinking about both of those things. Every damned day. Then it was off to meet with the nurse. He waited in the waiting room as a couple other people went in. Gav flipped through an ancient magazine in the mean time, not reading it.
Then the receptionist called his name. Gav got up, tossed the magazine down on the table and shuffled down the hall. He was clad in a long-sleeved gray t-shirt (very well worn), ratty jeans, black gloves. His coat was over his arm because it was warm inside. He headed to Hannon's office. Knocked once, then pushed the door open, let himself in.
