Who ? Tory and Vaughan Where ? Vaughan's room When ? Saturday What ? Vaughan is separated from the rest of the web, Tory comes to visit.
It was almost twenty-four hours since Jensen had separated Vaughan from the rest of the psychic web. The event hadn't been very exciting. In fact, it followed Charlie's separation almost completely. He'd gone to sleep with the thoughts of everyone else in his head and when he'd woken up they were gone, just vanished, almost as if they'd never been there in the first place except that he couldn't remember what it was like to not have them in his head which made it seem more like he'd lost something and less like he'd regained his own privacy.
He tried to remind himself that it was a good thing. The rest of his friends didn't want him in their head anymore and he didn't want to be in theirs. He wouldn't have to listen to their thoughts and jokes and insults or know just how upset they were with him and how much they disliked him. He wouldn't have to listen to Charlie go on about Kiku or Roxy and Duncan snarl about how gross it was that the other three of them had hooked up. Somehow, it was of little consolation.
He sat on the floor of his room with his back against the bed staring at the wall across from him. Idly he played with the chain attached to the cross that Tory had given him after he'd returned from Italy. He slid the charm back and forth methodically before he paused, pressing the cross against his lower lip. He'd been sitting there long enough to lose all track of time and his surroundings. There was just the wall and his thoughts consuming his attention completely.
