Who ? Vaughan and Tory When ? Feb 14, late morning What ? Valentine's stuff Where ? Vaughan's room
Vaughan had had a rough night. He always did whenever he was in the sleep lab. He was sure he held up the whole process of separating Charlie from the rest of them since he couldn't fall asleep. What was more than that, even though he didn't do anything other than sleep, he woke up late (especially for him) and positively exhausted. He shuffled out of the room, his stomach growling but he ignored it. His desire for food was nothing compared to his desire to be away from the bodies attached to the minds in his head. No one had ever managed to make him care so much about being unwanted since he'd made friends.
He unlocked the door to his room and pushed it open. He left it open too as he disappeared into the bathroom to wash his face and brush his teeth. After he had big plans to sit still and get used to what felt like a hole inside him left after he'd woken up without Charlie's thoughts and feelings reverberating around his skull. Even if the two of them hadn't gotten along for a very long time, he still felt oddly wounded. He dried his face on the front of his shirt and blurrily reached for his toothpaste.
