Who ? Eddie and Dameon Where ? Their room What ? Birthday fun When ? Tuesday
It was Dameon's birthday, Eddie had known about it for a long time now, too long. He had the date marked with a heart on his online calendar but not the one that hung on their wall. In fact, he went out of his way to make sure he didn't bring up Dameon's birthday. He was trying to make Dameon think he forgot about his birthday entirely, a plan he wasn't sure he was entirely successful at. He thought by now Dameon may have figured out that birthdays were kind of a big deal for Eddie, especially when they were the birthdays of people he loved and was friends with. Still, he tried to play it off, not to smile, and when the day finally arose he convinced O to keep Dameon busy all day long so he could take care of his party plans.
The blond didn't want anything extravagant for Dameon's party, no friends invited over, no strippers or dick cakes or anything like that. He had something much more intimate in mind with lots of cuddling and maybe, if Dameon wanted to, going out into town to a club or something to dance or something reminiscent of their earlier dating days.
He was expecting Dameon home at any minute. He'd backed a cake made out of individual cupcakes in the shape of a star with 'Happy Birthday Dameon' scribbled across it in blue frosting. He'd also made dinner, a southwestern chicken casserole O assured him was easy and would spice things up, along with salad and bread. The spread was all laid out on the kitchen table behind him and he stood, watching the door eagerly, waiting for the knob to turn. He'd even dressed up, wearing a frilly apron and nothing else.
