Thread: Thom & Jadyn Who: Thom & Jadyn When: January 13, mid-morning Where: Zener, kitchen What: Thom didn't want to eat in the cafeteria and so he goes to check out the upgrades in the public kitchen.
Maybe some things never really changed. The bells seemed to be the same as Thom remembered them, loud and foreboding and warning students that they were late for class. One thing he hadn't been prepared for was the rush of students down the main hallway. He had actually pressed himself against a janitorial closet just so no one would trip or accidentally kick him in their haste for class. Exam time was always one of the most active times for hallway run-ins. Thom still felt a bit awkward eating in the cafeteria with the students. Oh sure, the teachers probably ate in there, but that's because they taught.
And Thomas didn't. He was probably capable of teaching, but he hadn't come back to snag a job as an instructor in any of his expertise fields. Striding down to the kitchen once the pack of kids had left the corridor, Thom picked up a few errant pieces of paper that someone must have dropped and folded them, tucking them into the back pocket of his jeans. They weren't any of his business, but he'd try and get them back to the rightful owner over the journals.
As soon as he entered the kitchen, Cinder was out, looking at his reflection in the shiny toaster - flexing and doing his best bodybuilder impression. Ram, on the other hand, was cautiously eying the blender, unsure of what it did but the blades looked shiny. Thom cast a glance at them, even though the dragon and ram couldn't do any damage, Thom was still not used to having them out at the current time of day. The little guys couldn't even play around his office due to the 'no closed door' policy the paper had. Opening up the pantry, Thomas's head fell onto his shoulder, wondering exactly what he wanted to eat. A peanut butter banana and powdered sugar waffle sandwich sounded great, though.
