Narrative: Hunter Kincaid Who: Hunter Kincaid (Narrative). When: January 11. Late morning. Where: In town. What: Hunter goes to Washington New Hampshire.
Hunter had driven up to North Conway, New Hampshire, on Saturday. It had been a fairly dull car ride, although he'd gotten to listen to a lot of good music, which did not include the radio, because most radio stations, in his mind, were shit, with DJs who talked too much, weren't funny, and played horrible music that would appeal to thirteen-year-olds the world over.
The reason for driving was to have his car with him, because he needed a way to get around and didn't want to deal with a rental.
Hunter had stayed the night at a hotel called the Green Granite which met with his standards in that they had free continental breakfast in the morning and coffee. Which wasn't fancy coffee shop coffee, but did the trick first thing in the morning. It wasn't the Ritz, though.
His first stop of the day, after breakfast, was with he realator that his boss's dizzy little secretary had called up to arrange an apartment. He went to her, charmed her with words and a smile, signed a paper and got the key and voila, he was ready.
The place came furnished, which had been intentional, because Hunter wasn't there to live, and he didn't want to deal with furniture and decoration. He had a couple bags which had clothes, and severa suit bags which had his suits. Some books and his laptop and camera and all that made the trip.
Arriving at his new 'home' (for th time being), the first thing Hunter did was check it out. He'd need to get food in the fridge and cupboards. Second thing he did was make sure the cable and internet were already hooked up, as they were supposed to be before his arrival. They were. That was good. No one would have to die tonight (in his thoughts, that was). Then he went about hanging up his clothes, because he didn't want to look a rumpled mess. Ever.
Once the necessary work was done, Hunter set up his laptop at the table, setting out all his supplies around it for easy access. Notebooks, dictophones, camera equipment, pens, pencils, flash drives, other attachments for his computr. He booted the laptop up, connected to the internet and set to work on the piece he had been working on already.
