The music was loud. Not just loud, but loud. Jackson always hoped his attempts at soundproofing their room had worked, but then, their neighbors had never actually complained so he could hear them, so he assumed it was good enough. Either that, or they didn't mind the music he and Johnny tended to play, an eclectic mix of tastes that sometimes dovetailed and sometimes diverged.
Papers were spread out over his desk, but Jackson ignored them, kicked back in his chair with his feet up, singing at the top of his lungs along with the music. "Do you feel like a man when you push her around? Do you feel--" he tailed off as the door opened, grinning at Johnny. "Hey. Did you finish that history assignment?" The chair fell forward with a thunk as he turned towards his roommate, but didn't bother to turn down the music.
