Luca... wasn't a heavy drinker. At all, really. She hadn't really gone out socially very much during her summers, as she had never really met any of the Hoboken kids around her age and thought it would be very stupid to be in any way intoxicated as a teenage girl alone in NYC. So it wasn't in her habit to drink. So when Jack, her "date" for the night, wandered off in a pleasant buzz, Luca was left wandering herself, looking for anyone she was acquainted with to make small talk with. Or whatever.
Standing on her tiptoes to search swiftly over the crowd, she saw Kieran's familiar head among the masses, and slinked through the crowd easily over to him, nudging him gently when she reached the table he was standing at. "Hey hey," she said cheerfully, loudly enough for him to hear, grinning brightly. They were same year, same major, so they knew each other pretty well, and Luca felt, due to that fact, that he was one of the few people she could talk to without stuttering or feeling exceedingly awkward.
