Just a few final thoughts, since my comments are turning out almost as long as the fic itself! ^_^
I like how much honesty continues to be an essential part of Yoshizumi and Kenzaki's relationship. After all, some actors might be offended to hear that there's a part of their personality that they can't hide with their acting skills, and some hosts might not want to be reminded that their youth and beauty won't last forever. Yet these two can say such things to each other without any fear of hurt feelings or ego, and have their relationship be the stronger for it. And I love how they manage to be so romantically unromantic, if that makes any sense. (Kenzaki's joking complaint of "Must you phrase things so unromantically?" totally cracked me up!)
Aunt Ine: something about your brief mention of her really captured my attention, and now the overactive bunny in my brain wants to write her into a story! I'm kind of picturing her regarding the younger (and maybe even the current) Yoshizumi with stern but fond exasperation. I sort of invented a family background for him in "Yoshizumi's Night Out," but someday I'd like to take a closer look at his past, and how his family might have shaped. Which means I guess I'm going to have give Yoshi a fic of his own someday, if I can get Kikuchi and Onozuka to settle down, at least temporarily. If it makes you feel better, your brain isn't the only one being devoured by bunnies!
Oh, and the bit about Katou and Kikuchi both sending Dom Perignon to Yoshizumi--I know that he said he wouldn't mention it to either man, but I couldn't help thinking that if Onozuka found out, he wouldn't waste any time in letting them both know!
And finally...Yoshizumi planned to make some inquiries of his own, with a followup lecture or two to certain acquaintances on the virtues of discretion -- It's not really important for the purposes of the fic, but I couldn't help speculating on who might have spilled the beans to Mochimune about Y&K's past. First thought was Onozuka, since he's currently on my mind (and he pretty much thinks he's the center of the universe ~_^), but Tweedledee and Tweedledum could have been conned into giving up some gossip. O wouldn't betray a friend, so I don't think he'd disclose the more private and personal details even if he knew them, but he might think that Yoshizumi's initial cluelessness about his feelings for Kenzaki would make a harmless but amusing story. Or Mochi might have tempted him by offering to exchange some juicy story about Kikuchi's past. And I'm enjoying imagining Yoshizumi lecturing whoever was indiscreet--and argh, I'm bunnying myself again!
