Dear ajar,

You are amazing. I love each and every one of you; I've been at this game since before it was even Ajar (back when it was still Switch) and Mikey has been a firm fixture since the day the game opened up last February. He settled in well there so... he stuck. The writing has always, in my experience, been up to par; in the year+ that I've been around there has been only one incidence of drama that I can remember and it was solved, literally, within less than 24 hours and we all went back to playing nicely in our sandbox.

You guys put up with my run as mod where I... uh, well I wasn't very good, was I? Still, nobody snarked at me and you were all patient enough that I didn't feel stupidly pressured. I have no qualms talking to anyone here ooc and it's a group where we can duck out of character to lol about something and go right back into it so fluidly.



schristleto you are absolutely hysterical. I actually wait to start chat until I know you're around because you're fantastic; I've been in games with your Shannon pretty consistently for a while now and he never fails to amuse. Keep being awesome.

hewer, Mikey absolutely adores Mitch. Their conversations are fun as hell, I just hate that they keep missing each other! When Mitch is in LA, Mikey's in New York-- they just can't win. One of these days they need to actually for-real hang out.

grrard, it's so rare that I find a good Gerard and you're it. D adores him, and I know we haven't really played a lot lately which is sad, but my Mikey is eternally happy because you're around. We need to write again soon, for real.

otelderaj I know we don't really play a lot in this game but you deserve a spot here anyway. You're incredible ooc and ic, your Jared is awesome, and you're one of my favorite insomnia buddies. Who else can I badger at four in the morning?

j_rathbone You, my dear, are great. Seriously. Mikey and Jay need to talk more but I love you ooc too-- funny as all hell and absolutely one of the most supportive people I've met through RP, and when the boys have spoken they've clicked incredibly well. You were an excellent mod and I can't thank you enough for taking the game off my hands when it got to be too much to handle.

j_hardy What can I say? Charlie and Jeff are radically different people and it cracks me up. Somehow they work as a couple though, and I love them (and you) for it. Patience is key when it comes to Char and you definitely succeeded there-- he loves Jeff to bits, even if they are weird.

mattyaarongood I know we don't talk much IC anymore but that's alright. You're fun ooc and that's what counts; Mikey still loves Matt a ton even if they don't speak a whole bunch.

smashleygreene Oh you. You're great. Mikey is absolutely 100% in love with Ashley, who is one of his favorite people, and it doesn't hurt that you're also great ooc. Freaky that you live near me, but it's a small world! Ashley's one of those people that Mikey can bug out of the blue for no apparent reason, start conversations on the most random as hell topics, and still talk forever.

jobac I don't even know what I can possibly say about you. Joba Chamberlain paired with Mikey Way is one of those things that's so completely bizarre I'm not even sure how it happened. They were awkward enough at first-- come on, they danced around each other for god knows how long before anybody said anything about anything to anyone, and even then it was through an anon comment on Mikey's part and it was weeks after that that they moved into actually comfortable territory.

Still, I'm glad they did; it'll be a year that they've been together in July (the 16th!) and I can't believe they've worked out so well. One argument total that was solved in under half an hour? They're one of the best pairings I've had in a long time, and you're one of the best people I've written with in just about as long. Plus, you send me crap for my FarmVille, so that has to count for something. Their dynamic is interesting, because we all know Mikey's completely sports incompetent, but at least he's to the point where he can watch a game and not get hopelessly confused anymore (although he finds himself bored to tears when Joba's not playing, which could be either good or bad) and he's still convinced he's going to drop Karter.



So in short, ajar, you're all awesome. Those of you who weren't mentioned here still are; we just haven't spoken enough to really get to this point but I'd love to. I know the game has been slow lately, but things are looking up from what I can tell. More comm chats seem to be in order, because those are always hilarious and I have to wait till people aren't in the room with me before I join them so I don't end up being questioned on my giggling.
