WHO Colt Davies and Luz Martin WHERE Colt’s street then the Catacombs WHEN SUNDAY Sept. 4 not long after noon RATING Colt SUMMARY Colt has never been to the Catacombs before. Luz rectifies this.
Luz hadn’t met Colt Davies all that long ago, and it seemed the first impression of him had been correct. He was an asshole. But he was the sort of asshole Luz liked and a demigod, and, somehow, her cousin, so Luz had managed to make friends with him. She figured it was vaguely like how a zookeeper says they have bonded with their wild animal of choice, but that was fine with Luz. Sometimes those relationships are the most rewarding according to TV. And sometimes he showed up late for everything. Colt had not been to the Catacombs yet, which was, to Luz, hilarious and sad at the same time. And she thought she was new to all of this, Colt was like… well something was clearly wrong with him. But that meant Luz got to play tour guide, she just needed him to show up.
They had made plans for her to collect him at his place, which she was doing, but he was not coming. Luz stood on the sidewalk in front of Colt’s apartment building, in her same denim overalls that now had an impressive blood stain from when she’d been attacked by that demon thing and met that… She smiled slightly, in between being upset at Colt for being a pain. She wondered if that man would be in the Catacombs today. She’d have to keep an eye out for him. She wanted to keep an eye out for him.
After leaning on Colt’s doorbell for an obnoxious amount of time, she took a few steps back away from the door and found what she thought had to be at least one of the windows in Colt’s apartment. She cupped her hands to her mouth and yelled up at it. “Only women take this long, Davies!”
