WHO Tal Azulay and Roddy Bonniman
WHERE Warrior’s Guild, Catacombs
WHEN Feb. 5th, early afternoon
RATING PG
SUMMARY A little spear practice
STATUS Complete
Roddy wasn’t about to show up at the Warrior’s Guild in a suit and tie, so he had thrown on a pair of jogging pants, a t-shirt with his tie pin pinned into the collar, and a medium jacket. Yulia had felt sure there were going for a walk, and looked very disappointed when he left the apartment without her. He had never really been to the Warrior’s Guild before, and walking around through the tall, massive warriors reminded him of why. Roddy was not usually self-conscious. Self-conscious people with one leg tend to live unhappy reclusive lives, but he suddenly felt very small. Like a Chihuahua among bull mastiffs. He felt consoled slightly when he saw an older, still massive man seated with his wooden leg plainly in view.
Roddy checked his watch and looked around to make sure he wasn’t as lost as he thought he was. Tal had been kind enough to meet with him and show him a thing or two about spear throwing, he wanted to at least be on time and in the right place. He’d had his spear for about five years now, had been more than happy to ignore it the first few years while he went through rehab, and had really not come across a reason to use it since. Except perhaps on New Year’s Eve, but Roddy also didn’t know if he had the… emotional ability to ever use it. The process of throwing a spear was one thing, the process of making a spear pierce a person’s torso was something else.
Alright, he felt fairly competent he was in the correct place, and he checked his watch again to make sure he was at the right time. He fiddled with the pin in the collar of his t-shirt, and wondered how he was going to recognize her without having ever seen her before. Maybe he’d luck out and she’d be the one with a spear.
