Jennie really didn't have any girlfriends or sisters, or heck, a mother to talk about...those dreaded girl things with. Her roommate didn't seem exactly adept at the sort of thing that was plaguing her and Jennie was still keeping Rachel at arm's length until she got to know her better. Usually he just went with what she felt was the right thing to do and Google for the rest. Normally she let the former guide her actions, but found herself curious about the tried and true fashionably late v. unfashionably early debate. A search for "fashionably late etiquette for the socially curious" yielded many, many conflicting results. It seemed the general consensus was in agreement that no one showed up early, or (gasp) on time to a party, but there were a few that argued promptness was the latest trend especially for a date. Up to ten minutes would be socially acceptable, any more or less would be considered rude or desperate. So, it was important to make Kyle wait, but not wait too long.
Google had nothing to say about over thinking things on the other hand...
Speaking of, there were far more important things to worry about. Jennie still hadn't decided what to wear, a decision she knew could potentially take all night to make. As ready as she was to move on and be done with high school, even she had to admit there was something pleasantly low maintenance about wearing a uniform everyday for nine months out of the year. No decisions required. Uniform on, ready to go. Jennie knew better than to think her St. Elias uniform was socially acceptable in any capacity, especially not for image-conscious Hollywood and definitely not if any would-be-paramours were not suppose to know she was still in high school. It was with care she chose her outfit, sifting through her clothes until she found something stylish and comfortable and good for dancing.
After her shower, she found herself picking through her clothes yet again, unhappy with her original outfit. When she was finally satisfied, she went about fixing her hair and applying a bit of makeup. If Jennie had one wish, after world peace, an end to world hunger and a million dollars, it would be for MAC to make a decent foundation for those that found themselves "pigment-ly challenged." A bank account check later and Jennie was in her metallic, mint green sedan headed downtown to meet Kyle for their date.
