WHO: Jinx & Jade & Speedy!
WHAT: Jinx is in the middle of taking some mystical scrolls, and has currently knocked out two security guards, broken some glass, and taken out the top floor security cameras. Will a hero come and set her straight? Or is she going to walk out?!
WHEN: August 9th (Sunday) past closing (so 11pm-ish)
WHERE: Huntington Library, California
RATING: PG for fighting?
Jinx moved quickly, running lightly across the roof of the Huntington Library so swiftly it was like she wasn't even touching it. However, she also flew into hand springs and other gymnastic moves to cover distances faster. Even her landings seemed to be pillow soft, which seemed odd with the four inch platform black latex boots. The hem of her pleated dress pressed against her front and whipped out behind her as she moved, showing the top of dark purple and lilac thigh-high stockings. The dress seemed black in the shadows, but was actually a deep violet, either way it helped her blend in with her current surroundings. Sugar pink hair had been swept up and back in twin high-tails at the back of her head, the strands of hair hitting against her mid-back when she paused to look around and figure out exactly where she needed to be to get exactly what she wanted. A high giggle escaped her as she came to her destination, a hive like window at the center of the library portion of the large building she'd decided to break into. She'd been looking for her next mark for so long, she couldn't believe they had brought the evolution of her abilities right to her! That twisted smirk that so many used as proof of her insanity was slowly starting to twitch against the corner of her lips as the cat-like slit of her pupil seemed to grow smaller, smaller, then fade into the pink as her eyes glowed with her energy for a split second. With the glow came the effects of her ability and a single panel of glass loosened before falling to the floor below with an ear-splitting 'crash.' The smirk that had been growing finally finished as she moved to look over the hole she'd created, she could easily fit through. A few more seconds ticked by, no guards coming. What she didn't know was that the sensors within the building were suddenly going off, sending a silent alarm to the official lines (cops and so forth) along with any hero that was smart enough to be connected with the official lines of detecting intruders. Her eyes finally lost the glow as the black slit returned, and she started to lean over the hole she'd created, using her skills as a gymnast to slide as low as she could before allowing herself to fall and flip midair so that should could land on her feet in a feline-like crouch. As she rose, to her semi-horror, two guards stomped their way over to her with night sticks and flashlights shining on her. Great. "Hold it right there!" One yelled out, an older man with a rounded belly. Night shifters always look the worse, she sighed a little and put her hands up as if in defeat as she turned to look at both men, "Who tries to rob a library!?" The other exclaimed, a younger looking, possibly new-to-the-game security guard. She pursed her lips in an annoyed way before regaining her smirk, "Now now, maybe I just have an overdue book?" She asked in a silky sarcastic voice that made the security guards look to one another. That quick span of seconds was all she needed, before they had time to look at her they were washed over in a pink glow of her energy, which sent them flying backwards and landing hard against the opposite wall. At the same time she started to twirl on the spot with her arms held out at her sides, sending curves of energy out around her, and as if directed for a purpose, they only hit the security cameras. First only disrupting them before they imploded and the bodies fell to the floor with sparks and shudders. She giggled again and started to skip towards her destination. Four scrolls that were currently held under a protected glass case, light glaring upward to pronounce their presence. On her way over towards the case, she moved to the railing at the center of the floor, being on the top floor she could look down and see the following floors. Maybe she would just walk out of here instead of trying to climb back up and out. |
