Who: Helen Janos and Vance Astrovik When: Sunday, April 18th Where: New York City What: Vance and Helen meet over a mutual cause with different viewpoints
She wasn't looking to make trouble. All Helen was after this afternoon was just a damn sandwich from the deli to take to the park. Egg bread, turkey, muenster cheese, dash of pepper and mustard. Heaven wrapped in white butcher paper and safe in her satchel along with some iced tea and an apple.
She was actually behaving herself lately, all things considered. She sort of had to. Helen Jenkins, SHIELD intern, certainly couldn't cause a ruckus with the cops or anything like that. She wasn't sure whether she could get away with some performances for cash, but she thought she maybe could. If nothing else if she was found out she could always claim that her powers were pretty much just a pretty light show so she hadn't mentioned them since she figured they were useless to SHIELD; enough people had believed that her dragons were just harmless and only good for party tricks, to their cost.
As she was making her way to the park, her ear caught the old familiar words of hate coming from an alleyway. "Mutie freak!" Scowling and heading directly for the alley, she decided the sandwich was going to have to wait. If one of the mutant brotherhood was being attacked by scumbag humans, no way was she just going to stand by and let it happen.
