Pete was working on lowering the volume on his playlist as he listened to her, laughing at her jewelry joke, glancing over the edge of his laptop as he replied. "I think we're fresh out of those." He tried to sound apologetic, but mostly failed, standing again once he'd successfully mostly muted the sounds of his classic rock folder coming from his computer. He figured background music wouldn't hurt anything just as long as it wasn't distracting.
"Alright, I'll just grab napkins when I'm in there." He tossed one of the small couch pillows lightly in her direction, careful to not actually hit her with it, then headed toward the kitchen, returning with a bottle of water and a glass bottle of Barq's. He set the water down on the table in front of her, then moved to take a seat. "Well, I'm glad you thought of me. I think I've been hibernating a bit the past few days."
Aside from drawing, he hadn't really done anything productive aside from checking on Wicked from time to time, and question the head office about the situation once or twice. He really didn't want to spend too much time dwelling on it, knowing it was just going to get him angry again. "I think I might have to do something outdoorsy tomorrow before my body starts rejecting sunlight."
