Pete wasn't one to turn down good company, even if it came without warning, especially if food was involved.
He stepped aside to let her in once he'd taken the tupperware offered, resisting the urge to peek. It smelled fantastic though, and his stomach took the opportunity to growl loudly, reminding him that he hadn't had anything to eat since lunch. Even if he hadn't been hungry that probably wouldn't have stopped him from sampling some Dorcas cuisine. Home cooked meals were rare, especially from someone who knew what they were doing.
"Can't say I blame you, or mind." He replied with a laugh, closing the door once she'd stepped through. "Thank you, though. Really, it smells great." He glanced around for a bit, as if trying to think of the best place to eat, but figured sitting at the couch and using the coffee table was probably their best bet. He led by example, setting his tupperware down before moving to get his drawing supplies and laptop out of the way so she could claim a spot on the couch. "Can I get you something to drink? I've got bottles of water, some orange juice...I think I might have some root beer left too."
