Jamie was inordinately grateful for the water. He eagerly drank as much as he could, although most of it ended up dribbling down his chin and onto his clothes.
At least I didn't pee myself. Thank god for small favors, he thought. Well, he hoped he hadn't. Okay, maybe he had, a little. Convulsing will do that to a person. His pants didn't feel wet, though. Maybe a tiny wet spot, but now he'd spilled his water all over himself, so that was probably very good news indeed. Being useless was plenty embarrassing enough.
"Thank you," he mumbled indistinctly. Jamie squinted sideways at Adam, who was holding him up, his brain still a little sluggish. He remembered something that was niggling in the back of his mind. A voice... something... someone upset... some... oh! "T'll Sarah. M'okay."
Yeah, Jamie wouldn't be having any sparkling conversation right now. He hated that he couldn't even sit up on his own.
