What: Socializing after retrieving an escaped umbrella.
Warnings: None. Maybe a tiny bit of language and overly Southern accent.
It was kind of breezy today... That should have been noticed but Dorcas was kind of busy talking on the phone. She was wandering the campus grounds underneath her umbrella this time to block out the sunny sky. And she was talking on international long distance so her focus was also on trying to find the best place for reception. "Just... tell them no. I really don't want to go and I'm busy. Of course phrase it better than that, please," a pause while she listened, followed by a grin, "I know I lack tact with them. You're supposed to have tact for me. ... Yes, Mrs Fitz... Of course, Mrs Fitz." Quite suddenly, the umbrella yanked out of her hand and started on a rapid travel away from her with the wind.
"I have to go," she said suddenly and hung up, chasing after the umbrella. Oh this sucked. Why did things like this happen to her? |
