She stood up and went over to him by the file cabinet, looking on as he searched. Oh dear... Papers were overflowing and she was sure she saw at least three versions of one of them. This simply would not do. That'd be her first task, she decided, sorting through all the papers and putting them in some semblance of order.
Nodding, she said: "I've got access, yes. I'll take a look later. And yeah, doctor-patient confidentiality, of course." Brushing a dark strand of hair from her eyes and tucking it behind her ear, she turned and went over to her desk again, sitting down. "I used to help out at a few womens' shelters. We had to be strict about that sort of thing. A couple of times... well, let's just say there are more than mutants who have to have secret identities, as I'm sure you know."
Her eyes lit up with interest when he started discussing physiology. Nodding, she said: "X-Rays and such - I'd love to learn how to handle that. As I said, I can deal with mostly-human physiques, but I figure you're probably better than me with say morphers for instance. I can check blood pressure and pulse, but I'll need to learn how to give an injection or... well, that sort of things." If she hadn't been able to control it, she'd have blushed again. It felt like she'd said "that sort of things" or "stuff like that" a lot lately. Well, sometimes that was just the way things were.
"I can do an examination pretty quickly though, but I might not catch things that the body doesn't know about. Uhm..." She fumbled a bit for the explanation. "Say that someone's been injured or has a cold or has taken a drug, that's not normal for the body and thus I'll pick up on it. If there's a weak spot in an artery I could pass right over it though, since that's something the body sees as normal. I can find those things in humans if I know to look for them, but I don't know if I could find them in all mutants."
Turning on her computer screen, she checked a small grubby piece of paper for the login-information and typed it into the required boxes, logging onto the system. She might as well familiarize herself with the programs as they continued their conversation. Adam seemed busy with his paper hunt anyway.
