She had actually been helpful rather than distracting most of the day. Sure, she'd used the rhino to haul most of the wood that she had hauled, but she'd had to load and unload it herself. It wasn't quite the level of work that Piotr had put in but it was his bonfire darnit, he had to work more! That was only fair, right?
The date had gone fairly well, she thought, even if Piotr still seemed stiff and distant to her. A date, two nights on the couch, a day at the halloween festival that might as well have been a date and the boy still hadn't so much as reached for her hand. Not even when they were sitting in the darkened planetarium staring up at the stars. Well, okay, he did once, at the zoo, when she was walking down the bridge and had almost lost her footing, he was a genleman, so that didn't really count. He would have done that for anyone. It was beginning to make her feel even more awkward and uncertain. Why ask someone on a date if you weren't even going to touch them? She just didn't get it.
"Two bits." she said as she stepped through the wall, with her arms laden with stuff. "Oh.. chinese food, it's here already." She smiled, moved past him and went to go put the brownies ontop of the counter and the milk in his fridge. Funny how she just made herself at home. Oh well.. What was weird though was that she shared bedroom walls with Piotr. Wouldn't be so bad really unless he got another girlfriend, that could be awkward and uncomfortable.
"Smells good.. what do I owe you for dinner, Piotr?" she asked, still nto really wanting to call him Pete. He seemed so much more interesting, exotic, cool than a Pete would. Pete was the gangly kid with the dragon on the island.
