"Yeah, I'll be fine." she answered with a nod, then wiggled her socky toes at him for a moment, noticing him watching her feet. She assumed it was the socks and not some sort of foot fetish anyway. It didn't take her long to get her socks on and her bag zipped back up. She flopped over onto her belly then and started pawing around underneath her bed, half hanging off of it. She could just reach through but with the way her powers were going lately she didn't not want to fall three stories or more. One green doc grabbed, then the other, she sat up.. her face pink from blood going to her head. "Whoa, headrush."
It hadn't been too hard to jump to that conclusion, she'd caught a glimpse of him bringing the girl food then he'd seen him wrap around her protectively at the rally. Of course he was made of metal at the time so that's easy to explain as friend anyway. She had done the same thing to some stranger's child to protect her, phasing them both out.
"Yeah, I was." she answered, tugging one boot on, then the other. "It's okay, I can take care of myself most of the time. That guy's harpoons just did something weird to my powers. I dunno." ..and she had gotten distracted which she didn't want to talk about at the moment. "California isn't that different from New York. I'm sure they happen more than you want, otherwise there wouldn't be a Legacy team."
