WHEN: 9|1, 11PM
WHERE: She's in a hotel, Iota is in her dorm.
COMPLETE
Mystique had kept Iota's number in her mind, and in a few other places just in case. She was good at keeping things and keeping them secret. She had given out a few instructions to Iota when she'd seen her at the party, it was brief, but it was enough time to let Iota know exactly what needed to be done and in what time frame it needed to be done by. The time frame was up and Mystique already had the pre-paid cell phone she'd bought, with cash, under a false name through the mail, with someone else's credit card. Of course no fingerprints would be found anywhere, no paper trail, and no one could follow her signal on a pre-paid phone. Life could be simply wonderful at times. After a few moments of getting herself comfortable on the hotel bed, yes she'd rented a hotel, there was only so much of the bunker a mutant like herself could take. She was use to high class after all, a bunker was far below what she was use to. When she had her back pressed comfortably against the head bored of the bed, she started to punch in the girl's number, and waited. A slumbering Patricia smacked her knuckles against the table at the side of her bed in search for her phone, skin breaking against the corner of the wood and causing her to sit up with a loud flurry of curse words. For someone who could have slid her whole arm through a table, she'd just messed up her hand, but she'd just started falling asleep and was looking forward to another sweet night in the bed she'd left for so many days about a week ago. The blaring noise of an unknown call had interrupted that, and the sleeping part of her told her to blow up the phone, the waking part told her to pick up fast. That part won over and soon the phone was pressed against her ear, "Hee....low?" She offered before the phone rang against her ear, causing her to sit up and nearly toss the phone against the opposite wall, "Fuck all." She yelled at nothing, she didn't know or care where her roommate had gone. So didn't worry about waking anyone in the room up, everyone else was on their own. Finally she found the button and pressed it, tried again, and then waited for the other to say something..."God damn it, you woke me up, you have one second to say something before I fucking hang up." Her breathing was deep and still obviously sleepy. Mystique rolled her eyes at the threat, "Early to be asleep, isn't it?" Came the very hollow voice that would ring clear as a bell even through the echo of itself and the static of the phones, though there was very little. "Did you get what I asked for?" Straight to the point, no need to make things last longer than they needed to. Though if Iota would get what she wanted in return was completely up to Magneto, and well, yeah no just Magneto. Iota already had Mystique's vote, well if she'd done as she'd told her to. She should have Gravija's vote as well, but Mystique hadn't seen the young woman in a while either, and had yet to speak with her of the night they'd found the pretty molecular girl. She crossed her ankles one over the other as she sat slightly impatient waiting for the outcome of what Iota had done. When she felt that Iota had fallen asleep on the phone, she became slightly angered, "Iota?!" She yelled into the mouth piece with a slow blink of her glowing yellow orbs, "I don't like to be kept waiting." "Yeah well, I don't like being used so chill the hell out." Iota responded boldly in her sleepy state, though honestly she probably would have said the same thing in any state. She didn't like being used, and she knew when she was being used, "If I do this, my ass is so kicked out of here. I need to know I have a place to go and people to have my back. There are some fucking stupid people here who think they are all powerful, and if I knew I had someone to get my back...I would have already taken care of them, but until I'm done with college I don't have a constant form of income to sustain myself. If you're not playing around, then you can tell me where this place is that is suppose to be a haven for people like us." She stated clearerly Clearer than someone who was asleep, and obviously from someone who had thought it over. "You don't get shit for free in this world, I'm sure as hell not giving you something valuable for free." She finally finished in a defiant voice. She sat up more, the sound audible over the phone as the covers ruffled under her as she moved to sit with her legs crossed under her, the long shirt she wore as s nightgown hardly doing its job as it crumpled up around her hips. So Mystique couldn't get angry with the girl, maybe she was even impressed just a little by how bold she could really be, how smart she was if nothing else. "Well, smart ass, I can't really offer full membership over a phone, now can I?" -Patricia interrupted, "And you know I'm not meeting a bunch of old mutants with a need for passwords who could kill me as soon as they get what they want." - Mystique closed her eyes, her minutes were running out literally. "There is no safety in this world Iota, there are no 'for sures.' If you don't trust me, who are you going to trust? Those little goody goodies at that school who don't even seem to notice when the walls are catching fire around them? do you really want to be there when the walls finally fall? When the world decides to stop playing nice? You want to be with them? Those snot licking puppies instead of with the ones who know that you are nothing less then our sister? Don't give me these petty games girl, either you're in or you're out. So what are you?" Mystique finally let all her cards on the table, while pinching the bridge of her nose with her free hand and tipping her head back as if she could stop the oncoming headache with the simple movements. Iota let her eyes adjust to the dark as she leaned against her own head bored, listened to Mystique and realized she had no real choice. She didn't want to be here anymore, and this was really her only option to be something...more. She didn't want to work in the school when she grew up, she didn't want to be a doctor, nurse, or politician. She no longer wanted to be a mortician...she wanted to use her powers and bring justice to those she felt deserved her certain brand of justice. Her vengeance and anger. There was a low sigh before she hung her head and shook her head at the same time. "Yeah fine." She finally stated irritably. Within moments she was finished giving the main name and password needed to Mystique of a random teacher she'd stolen it from. It hadn't been hard, she'd sneaked in the room under the door and hid in the corner collecting the information. Now she was passing it on. Mystique smirked as she took in the information, "Good job Iota." She stated happily, "You know where to go, when, and what will go down. I look forward to seeing you again." Her voice would have been seductive to Iota's ears if it wasn't so hollow, but that didn't matter now. Mystique turned the phone off and simply glowed with triumph, she was going to get through Xavier's walls with the help of one of his own students. It was too sweet for words, but many things were. She packed up what she needed, cleaned up certain items, would throw others away in certain places before finally making her way back to the bunker, where she would get started on the codes and gathering the information she deemed worthy of her time, and later would share with Magneto her findings. |
