Remy may well have laughed, at the whole human flower pot comment, if he didn’t realize just how serious Yindi was being, whilst of course attempting to make light of it, probably because she felt that way he would not get freaked out by it, but Remy didn’t truly ever get freaked out. Or actually he had done so, once down in the danger room and as he didn’t remember what had happened after the event, well it meant he didn’t need to think about it. As she moved and sat on the bed, well Remy was soon moving. Any reason to lounge around really, when he was in the mood, was a good reason. Hence he flopped easily down the end of the bed and over it, legs dangling down one side and his head semi dangling over the other side.
Finally the shades did get themselves removed, they were in her room, the sun was not up, and no one else was going to go walking on in there. Much easier for Yindi to work out where he was looking that way, as red lights tended to shine from various things if he was not looking directly at her.
He was however obviously listening, even though as he lay there, he was tugging stray strands of reddish black hair and twiddling it around his fingers.
“Remy don’t know too much abou’ all dat stuff, sound t’me like ya need to jus’ stop t’inkin’ fo’ a bit yo’self too.” Aimless nonsense? Maybe but it always took Remy a while to get to any kind of point and maybe this time he really didn’t have one. “Y’told me dat Barnum ‘e knew dat yo’ was special before anyone else, if’n bein’ wha’eva yo’gonna be was gonna be easy, Remy, see ‘e don’ t’ink dat Burnum would have told yo’.” Waffle really but everything Remy said had some kind of meaning to him even if it didn’t seem to have any to anyone else.
“S’ good and righ’ fo yo’ t’be scared petite, if’n yo weren’t ya wouldn’t be who y’are, see it as anot’er big adventure oui? Y’travelled half way across da world and found yo’self ‘ere, dat be one big brave t’ing t’ave to be doin’ in one year, but now y’go’ anot’er biggie goin’ on, and y’know wha’? We be in dis place an’ everyone is gonna ‘elp yo.” Well he sure hoped they would, but her mutation seemed sort of cool to Remy, only there was no way in hell he was going to say that, make it sound like he was just saying it to make her feel better about it, and he didn’t want to be doing that.
“Me I think I should be callin’ ya somet’in’ different now, bu’ da mind it ain’t comin’ on up wit’ no snazzy soundin’ nicknames.”
