Remy was clueless really, he could have asked someone where Yindi was, but it had never entered his head. Mostly because you got kind of used to people disappearing when you lived on the streets, and really you just didn’t want to know where they really had gone, it was much better to imagine they had found that special happy ever after type thing and were not in actual fact sold off because someone bigger, someone meaner had happened along found them and then decided they were property rather than a person with as many rights and as many dreams as themselves. He had been systematically wandering, or rather sneaking into her room when he didn’t think anyone else would notice to see if she were there, but as of yet had not been lucky enough to find her within.
So not the case this time though, so there was a loud, “yo done broken yo’ promise t’ought dere be no goin’ away lessen’ we was tellin’ one anot’er petite.” Shutting up when he actually looked at her and noticed just how pale she was. His cheeks puffed out and he slowly let his breath escape from his lips. Looking at her with a puzzled expression on his face, even if any expression on Remy’s face was kind of hard to figure out, unless you got used to the fact you could not read such by anything his eyes may or may not be doing, due partially to the fact they were near on constantly covered.
“Guessin’ y’no’ gone back ‘ome fo’a while and seen Burnum.” Remy stated in the nearest he was going to get at the moment, apologetic tone. As yes, it was kind of hard letting on that you had missed someone, even if they were probably the first and only real friend you’d ever had in your entire life. Now chewing lightly on the inside of his cheek, as he kicked his left foot lightly over the ground and then decided to wander more fully into the room.
“No’ dat Remy really missed yo’.” Was added with a cheesy grin sitting on his lips, which led to the complete opposite of what he’d said being obviously true.
